i was really wanting to like this movie as well...

just utter garbage....

the humor was just way to over the top that it wasnt even funny

I thought the movie had a lot of imagination, and while it wasn't a laugh-a-thon, there was definitely humor throughout. I guess it's release got buried because it supposedly is a "steaming pile", but damn, there's about 3 dozen steaming piles I would flush before this one, and that's just from movies released in 2007.

rent it.

I just saw this tonight too.

While it isn't as funny as Office Space, Beavis & Butt-head or King Of The Hill, I laughed pretty thorougly throughout.

I thought the way it started with the explanation of how the world became "stupider" was the only part worth watching. The rest was horrid. Completely a step down for Mr. Judge.

I'm not sure what to think. There were plenty of jokes that I found amusing, but I didn't really laugh throughout the movie. It's definately not one for repeated viewings ala Office Space.

Also, the whole stigma surrounding the movie (the studio not wanting to release it) really hurt it for me. I sat down to watch it thinking "Okay, this is probably gonna be bad." And that wasn't fair.

the difficult part was creating a movie about the dumbing-down of america without dumbing-down the movie. tricky. For the most part he failed.
