A person actually has to be Meldrick to look like Meldrick. Otherwise they're Timberlake in a sleeveless sweater and Doctor No hat. Which people will look back on unfondly very shortly.

I gotta say Crack's hat was the subject of more than one conversation at the wedding. It was a hit.

My grandfather was wearing a very similar one.

I think I lost it last night. I woke up on the couch with no recollection of getting from the party to my house. Still, I'm going to consider the hat a worthwhile investment and will pursue the matter further.

While commuting to work via the fancy Metra, I discovered that people who wear berets are assholes. I saw three people wearing them today and all three people were being dickfaces to those around them. My crazy breeder missionary aunt wears berets all the time, and she's an asshole, too. But a girl that I know wears one and she just looks hot. This is a headscratcher for me.

Cotton, congrats on the wedding.

I for one would really, REALLY enjoy a picture of the two of them, for comparison's sake.

Wow, that bastard looked like he wasn't taking any shit off anyone so I gave him a wide berth. Still, such a photo may exist.

Thanks, Jasmine!

and seriously. Unless they're for some sort of military post, berets are the single most offensive piece of headwear that I can think of.

Hey, I got my invitation in the mail last night for the big jagged wedding coming up this spring. I may have to rock a hat of some sort to this...maybe the John Wayne look from The Quiet Man.

What I really hate are those hats that hipsters are wearing these days that look like some sort of old timey military hat. They are made of loose cloth but have a bill, and they're sort of cylinder-shaped. I can't find a picture online; hopefully my description is sufficient.

Man do I hate those. Who the hell do you think you are -- Fidel Castro? Take a hike, COMRADE.

You mean these?

I've got this one

but I think I'm exempt from criticism because I was actually in the military.

Yup, that's the kind I'm talking about. Well, if you were actually IN the military, then I guess I'll let it slide, but I'm gonna keep my eye on you...
