Gerry Rafferty-Billy Connolly collab

Spiritual cousin to "Norwegian Wood," but also its own masterpiece of symphonic pastoral britfolk chamber balladry

A Billy Connolly-Shane MacGowan collab would be something to behold, actually.

Love the Shane version.
Looking forward to hearing this one. Thanks.

When I was a kid I had a Gerry Rafferty record of his early work, pre-hits, and it was one of my favorite records. Very Beatley, but more pastoral and yearning. Had no idea most of the songs were Humblebums until college and was suprised to hear Connolly's more ambling Scot-ditties up against Rafferty's probing ballads.

Billy's The Man. Foul-mouthed galoot, but still The Man.

Awesome.
I Iike this version a lot.
It's a lot more tender than Shane's; almost an entirely different song, in the way it feels, so it's hard to compare.

Thanks.
