Actually, I'd say start with their first one, Lone Hair in Three Stages, and if you like that pick up Talker perhaps followed by Sang Phat Editor.

I love their first 3 albums, but their admittedly not for everybody. They're sort of like a brain-damaged Magic Band fronted by Captain Beefheart with laryngitis.
