Yeah, I used to have a short fuse as a child. Since I am a happy drunk, it has never caused me any issue. I think wrestling also allowed to me focus aggression. Also once I was clearly a runt amongst most of my peers, I didn't really need to protect myself, since I had large friends and acquaintances who kept me from getting the little man syndrome.
Unlike Kyle, I think if I took a swing now, I'd continue to swing until someone pulled me off the person.

duly noted as i cross nebraska off my list of vacation destinations

Yeah, you'd never come here anyway. Though you are forgetting Nebraska's image as being very hospitable and gracious. We even cheer for a team after they beat us in football game at home.

Yeah, I have never attended a home game that we have lost so I have never taken part, but I guess it is a freaking standing ovation in the corner of the stadium where the visitors locker room is at.
I'm usually cursing the tv or have long changed the channel rather than suffer through an ass whipping like that 70-10 game a few years ago.

Everybody has made mistakes, sure, but by "confessing" on an internet message board you are pretty much setting yourself up, dude. I would tell you the same thing to your face (risking a handprint on my own face) though and you know this.

I've talked dumber motherfuckers than you out of doing dumber (or meaner, or more violent) shit. But really, c'mon, what did you expect, a round of applause?

I wouldn't trust someone who doesn't have a similar story to this.

This is why I got a black eye the night before a wedding I was serving in after the rehearsal dinner.

Honestly? I didn't "expect" anything. I was a little overwhelmed for a second, and typed it out. It was late, the whole thing snuck up on me really, really fucking fast. I mean I've got a sense of humor about it, and no bridges are burned or anything, but jesus fucking christ if you two jackels can't hit the "Below The Belt" button fast enough. Now tell me I'm too sensitive, or can't take a joke, or whatever else you need to keep from ever having to apologize. I'm seriously not worked up or anything, but I'd be lying if I said it wouldn't be better than Christmas if you guys acted like actual friends when the chance came up. As I said, "fuck it." I don't get mad at the stove when it burns me either.

My back is killing me. Apparently I landed on my left side and slid, based on what's sore (and the holes in my sweatshirt). And it's still bugging me when I try to go to sleep that I was dumb enough to get into that. Fucking DUMB.

I for one am feeling you cap'n. Somebody was being obnoxious, and you slapped the shit out of them. Fuck these hos.

I also suspect there is at least a sprinkle of internet exaggeration in your 1st post. And I thank you for that. It was a GOOD STORY.

I don't know how I got dragged into the below the belt range...I just said violence is not your forte. I still love you, you brawlin little bastard ;)

Below the belt? You threw it out there for public consumption and I gave you my opinion; The fact that we've been friends for the better part of 20 years doesn't color that one bit. (see also: my reaction to Haq going Bernie Goetz on the subway)

You have every right to feel however you want to, but if I've got nothing to apologize for so why should I?

To summarize: You threw this out there, on the internet, for public consumption and I gave you my opinion. If you had called me up and told me this on the phone, I may have reacted differently, but this is where it is and that would be something different--do the fucking math.

I wonder if that dude remembers what I look like? He was pretty fucked up...
