Without having seen alongwaltz's Ice Cube as actor thread, I was thinking, last nite, on which actor(s) had shown a more tremendous fall in their level of hardness. (No, porn actors not included.) This was in light of both Are we done yet? & Wild Hogs being top performers at the box office.

So, who's more pathetic:

John Travolta/Martin Lawrence (Wild Hogs... but previously, Pulp Fiction, Get Shorty, Primary Colours (remember, he played LooGAR's favourite, Bill Clinton), etc., & well, everything he ever did (but particularly Martin & the Bad Boys films))

or

O'Shea Jackson a/k/a Ice Cube (Are we done yet?... but previously, "nigga ye love to hate", N.W.A., Amerikkka's Most Wanted, Boyz in the Hood, Friday, Three Kings)

One can almost picture Ice Cube's character in Three Kings standing over himself now saying: "Can you Breif? Can you Breif?"

Travolta started as a singing greaser and a disco dancer.

What kind of thread is this?

He was a street-tough, which was about as gangsta was one could be, back then.

Holy shit. Grease remake starring Cube and that Dreamgirls chick from American Idol.

It could blow the Honeymooners remake out of the water.

I voted Ice Cube for the simple reason that Wild Hogs did well with Martin Lawrence, and also because I never thought he had much of a career outside Martin and his standup. Also, Travolta is in the new Hairspray which is gonna bring him back to a critical prominance.

I'd pay to see it.

I agree on the Cube thing, but the rest of what you say is painful.

Painful but true.

Uhh...if you even considered watching, much less watched Wild Hogs, you are no longer allowed to talk about movies.

And, Hairspray, even in John Waters form is blahbitty blah....Travolta's career won't be affected, critically or otherwise by this remake.

From NWA to harmless children's fare?
Ice Cube in a landslide!
