I subscribe to XLR8R and Under the Radar

Filter is not too shabby either. Mojo & CMJ great, but damn expensive for a sub. And once upon a time, URB used to be good.

i have subscriptions to rolling stone, spin, filter, xxl, and vibe but they were all through offers like credit card miles.

i buy xlr8r once in a while, sometimes i get fader free. been meaning to check out paste and i used to buy magnet and cmj a long time ago but haven't recently. i think i like xlr8r the most out of what i listed.

I like XLR8R the most because it's an eclectic range of music- hip hop, rock, and electronica- and the electronica artists they do features on aren't those cheesy trance dj's.

Yeah, XLR8R covers a good range of music and the electronic stuff they cover is stuff I'm more likely to be into. I also like how they have a good number of features, but they're not too long. Most of the articles are pretty well-written which is another plus. I really liked the NY issue they had last year, but I didn't like the issue that followed it so much (Matthew Dear issue I think). It's hard to find magazines that cover what I'm into yet are well-written.

Smart guy. I've got a Borders close enough to walk to and maybe once a month I'll go over, grab a bunch of mags and just sit and take note of any artists that get my attention for closer inspection.

That issue wasn't the greatest, but I dug it because I'm a HUGE Matthew Dear fan. He is my techno god.
