I'm looking to buy a PDA.
What type do you use?

I'm looking at the Palm TX, but I hear the battery life is not so good.
I'd probably be happy with the simple Palm z22.
I don't know anything about any other brands and was wondering what the benefits were.

Things I require:
-Color Screen
-Rechargable battery
-Memory stays in-tact if battery dies

Things I'd like:
-Camera (at least 1 megapixel)
-mp3 player
-Internet capabilities

I have an older model -- Palm Zire 21 and it meets my needs for what I use it for. Though, I'm thinking of upgrading to a Palm Treo so that I don't have to carry a phone AND a PDA.

I don't even like having to carry around a cell phone.

Man, what's the point of this type of comment???? Ok, we get it, you don't like PDAs! Does it bother you so much that other people do that you have to come into every f'ing PDA thread and tell everyone else they're wrong?!?! Live and let live, you ass!

What kind of purpose does this sort of post serve?? I'm not trying to attack Kit personally here, but this movie is prety funny in it's own right ... I just don't get why people can't appreciate films for their own individual qualities.....

Mead. Spiral bound. It's pretty rugged (you can sit on it without it breaking) and it has a pretty good hand-writing recognition tool. When I forget the Mead, I use my palm, but it gets sweaty and loses its memory when I wash my hands.

For you, I'll come downstairs, and stab it in your eye.

I used to have a Palm Treo, which I loved, and the size was the only disadvantage. It didn't have the capability of music ringtones, only "polyphonic".

I'm currently pimping a Blackberry Pearl, which is nice, but the "SureType" text takes getting used to and can be very annoying if you're trying to type out a quick e-mail or text. It has a qwerty keyboard, but there are two letters to each key.

The Treo was awesome with it's full keyboard.

I haven't used either for an mp3 player because they are paid for by my work and I don't want to download a ton of music to a company owned phone.

Both the Treo and Blackberry Pearl have cameras, neither of which took very good pictures, unless you were less than 20 feet away from the object.

I just got DAT Blackberry, I think 5703 or 8703 or somesuch.

I like the fact that I get email everywhere, but for some reason, I don't have "frames" support, so I can't really access the web.

It does free me up something fierce to work wherever I want to, but it also keeps me on duty almost 24hrs a day.

Couldn't lay out the extra cash for the "off" button option, eh?

Remember; you own it. Not the other way around.

Thanks for all the info. Right now, I'm still leaning to the Palm z22, which I think is just a newer zire version. If after awhile I don't like it, I can sell it and get a new one, right?
As long as I sync my contacts and calendar with Outlook, I should be OK for switching devices.

I had no idea Derris was anti-PDA. I don't own one either or care too. If I had a real career that required one, I might change my tune.
