I thought his last record was pretty bad but he really raised the ante this time.

I imported "The Magic Position", and I like some of the songs.

There is a bit of Omaha influence in his songs right now, but I think as he realizes Omaha isn't that cool anymore, he'll drop that. His main influence is Joni Mitchell.

I don't know about the album. I really like the title track, but nothing else on the album really grabs me, and I make it about halfway through before switching to something else.

And that album cover is going to look soooo dated in a few years.

WTF is an Omaha influence? I don't think any of the still existant and still releasing Saddle Creek bands have a collective sound.

I'm not sure if I've heard him. I've certainly have heard of him though. Saw the review in PF and was slightly intrigued. Antony was name-dropped. Can anyone who has listened to the album tell me why? I really dig Antony.

I have a Wind In the Wires shirt. Oops?

Coming from someone who listed Lycanthropy really highly and had Wind as my #1 a couple years back, the new one is a clunker. It isn't some huge shift in style or anything, just boring and forgettable (save for a song or two; see? I can't even remember how many). I blame Tiga.

His interview on p'fork was painfully pretentious. I might hate him more than anyone else in music and I've never heard a note of one of his songs.

I am sure, given the chance, Mr. Wolf would.

Sure they do. They all have that sort of wuss-bag sound. Spineless sound? Girly sound? I don't know. It's intangible.

And, really, what else outside Saddle Creek is there to the Omaha scene since 311 moved to LA? ;)
