the killers suck at everything they do.

But hey, this is coming from someone who can't carry a tune or play anything, so I guess they're better than i'll ever be.

honestly, the killers had some catchy singles on that first album. there are a lot of bands out there with less than three good songs.

I feel that the Killers are not a talented musical group. I do not feel they will do an adequate job with this cover song. I have little interest in them and I will make efforts to avoid hearing their rendition of this music song.

I think the Killers and that other band who's name escapes me get a disproportionate amount of shit as being derrivitive and all that when other bands just as blatantly ripping off the 80s get a free pass.

Of course, I can't really imagine that I wouldn't rather just want to listen to the Joy Division version.

I like 3 songs on Hot Fuss, and 1 on Sam's Town.

That is all.

This sounds like a bad karaoke version.

I saw them Monday night. They truly do have a good live show. I don't own a single second of their music, but I can appreciate them for having a tight performance.

EDIT: HOLY SHIT!!! They played this on Monday night and I didn't even recognize the song.

Though of course Joy Division are ridiculously lionized by comparison. I like them, but still, it's like Ian has sainthood or something instead of just being a depressive who moaned some good tracks.

Yeah, Joy Division always gets tagged with this "incredible" influential band status but I rarely feel the urge to throw on any of their stuff. I'll take early New Order over Joy Division anyday.

Oh, and The Killers last album was a stinkbomb.

I can't imagine wanting to listen to Joy Division when you aren't clinically depressed. When you are, I can't imagine wanting to listen to anything else.

"Interzone" is top notch, whatever your mental state may be.

Did anyone else read the attached article? This is running over the biopic's credits? Weird.

Joy Division sucks.

Sam's Town, minus the song about his uncle (#7) is pretty fucking good. The production is really overblown, but I like it in it's own weird way.

For a second I was surprised that you like the Killers, because they're British (and not the Rolling Stones). Then I remembered they're not British. Carry on.

The covers not horrible, but it's nowhere near the original. Joy Division is one of my favortie bands, but for some reason I don't listen to them all that often, I have to be in a weird mood to like their stuff.

The guy who's playing Ian. I'll reserve my judgement until I see his mannerisms/movements.
