That's cool, though it'd be a madhouse for sure.

Just passed by Amoeba, if you arrive within the next hour or so, your chances of getting in are pretty good.

I thought it was tomorrow. Or do you mean they are giving out the wristbands today for tomorrow night?

I saw all the people camped out in front of amoeba on the news this morning. I don't think I'd camp out like that to see anyone.

there's no organic material in his face, so you won't have actually touched him. wash away.

Hundreds camp out for free Paul McCartney show in LA
Amoeba Records gives wristbands out early

Hundreds of Paul McCartney fans lined the streets of Hollywood today (June 26) to gain access to his free show scheduled for tomorrow evening at Amoeba Records Hollywood.

They were prepared to camp out overnight to receive one of the 200 coveted entry wristbands that were to scheduled to be given out tomorrow at 12:30 pm.

However, store management decided to give them a break and hand out wristbands early so the fans wouldn't have to queue up overnight.

"When we saw that more than 200 people had already lined up, we decided to give them out early so they wouldn't have to spend the night on the sidewalk," said a spokesperson for Amoeba Records.

The show is set for 7:30pm PST tomorrow. It is McCartney's only scheduled Los Angeles performance at this time.

I hope this is a concert-length performance, not just the normal 3 song in-store performance.

Amoeba typically has a 25-30 minute performance. Depending on the artist, they tend to fill as much as possible with songs vs idle chit-chat.

Hundreds of fans from around the world had queued since Monday to get a wristband for the free show at Amoeba Records since it was announced that McCartney would play.

Ringo Starr, Olivia Harrison, widow of late Beatle George and Jeff Lynne were amongst the 900 capacity crowd.

New tracks 'Dance Tonight' and 'That Was Me' were dropped into a set that also included classics such as 'The Long And Winding Road', 'Hey Jude' and 'Get Back.'

Like the show in London, McCartney paid tribute to late Beatle John Lennon when he played 'Here Today.'

I didn't go but did pass by around 9pm last night on my way home from work. Tons of people were still on the street, peering in through the windows attempting to catch a glimpse of Sir Paul. Several cops were mulling about and traffic was apparently affected since there were a couple of traffic cops hanging around in the middle of the street.

Friends of friends went, but I've yet to hear a report about the performance.
