Of the 3, I went "kicks".. it does bug me that I ordered early via their site/Merge to get the bonus disc edition (came to about $18 w/shipping) and now I see that same version is advertised at Target for 7.99 this week. Thanks for screwing over your fans Spoon.

Awesome.

Especially considering that the entire Obner starting offensive line stands unified in our praise of this album. We just might have a few chop blocks to issue before it's all said and done.

Have you even looked at that poll you started? The meh/sucks seem to be winning.

Thanks for the heads-up, Gallup.

Spoon will offer a twelve-track, 22-minute EP titled Get Nice! this week. The songs are short, noisy, weird, and each track leads into the next one. It's very cool. Included are a different version of "I Summon You" and from the new album, a stripped down version of "You Got Yr. Cherry Bomb." "Love Makes You Feel" and "Curfew Tolls" both sound like a Dark Side era Pink Floyd messing around with the electronics, and "1975" is a lo-fi rocker that sounds like it has been sitting on their shelf for a while. Single tracks really don't do it justice, you've got to hear this thing in its entirety.

1. I Got Mine (2:34)
2. Be Still My Servant (1:25)
3. Leave Your Effects Where They’re Easily Seen (0:57)
4. I Summon You (Cool) (1:29)
5. Mean Mad Margaret (1:38)
6. Love Makes You Feel (2:38)
7. You Got Yr. Cherry Bomb (3:14)
8. Tasty Fish (1:19)
9. Dracula’s Cigarette (1:24)
10. 1975 (1:40)
11. I Can Feel It Fade Like An AM Single (3:12)
12. Curfew Tolls (1:34)

PM me if anyone wants this.

They did the same thing with Gimme Fiction. Bonus EP with disc for $9.99 at Best Buy the week of. I did end up winning a 7" of "I Turn My Camera On" for pre-ordering though.

Okay, I listened to it, and it's somewhere between "Kick Ass" and "Kick Meh" options. So... I abstain.

a solid 6.5 on the billy g scale:

10: One of the best records of all-time; listmania quality
9: Not a top 100, but still a stone cold classic
8: Maybe not an all-time classic, but would be #1 in most recent years
7: A Very Good Record
6: A Good Record, But One with Questionable Staying Power
5: I Don't Mind Hearing It, but I don't Need to Own It
4: Not Very Good, nothing really stands out even if its not bad
3: Pretty Bad
2: Even Worse
1: Absolutely Awful
0: No Redeeming Quality What So Ever

That's about where I'd put it, too. Solidly in the "meh" range.

 That really ruins "Little Japanese Cigarette Case." It's so un-Spoon to have a gratuitous solo.
