So I'm putting together this top 40-esque mix for Femderris for this trip she's taking with some of her college girls.

From her cd's and some people at work I've culled some of the worst pop pap to ever come down the pike during 95-99.

I need the following to complete this abomination.

Does anyone have the following and if so can you hook me up??

Natalie Imbruglia - Torn
Eagle Eye Cherry - Save Tonight
Jamie Walters - Hold On
Freak Nasty - Da Dip
Jamiroquai - Virtual Insanity

Bonus points for anyone who has that Ray Pruitt joint.

I have this, but not on my hard-drive. I must also disagree with your assessment of its merit.

Well, I've been digging through shit like Brandy, Blues Traveler, K-Ci & JoJo, N-Sync, and Verve Pipe. Everything is burning my ears at this point.

Believe I tried to get some rock from the era on there but I was shot down posthaste. Sponge would most likely elicit a "oh I remember that song" whereas "Mo Money, Mo Problems" by Biggie will elicit an "awwwwwwww shit" from this group.

Other stuff making the mix:

Rosa Parks - Outkast
Leaving Las Vegas - Sheryl Crow
Sex and Candy - Marcy Playground
Creep - TLC
Killing Me Softly - Fugees

Etc, etc. I was pretty much given this list of stuff to find.

I'm proud to say I have none of these songs.

GAH

This reminds of riding down to New Orleans a few years ago with my wife's former boss. The entire trip was a marathon of late-'90s mediocrities. Fugees, No Doubt, Cake, Soul Coughing… and those were probably the best of the bunch.

Needless to say, I had my headphones on for the entire trip, but they couldn't quite drown everything out.

I quite like Soul Coughing, thank you very much.

Well....at least their first album...

Don't have/never heard of the rest of the stuff discussed.

Her label has put out a singles comp (1997-2007) even though I can only think of 3 albums by her, all of which I graded on the curve because of her RHAW factor.

Hey thanks for the effort man but my computer isn't authorized to play the song. Did you get it from Itunes??

I'd have to have your password for authorization.

GAH.

Yeah. This whole venture has just reminded me of how GARBAGE top 40 was in the late 90's. I mean just boy bands, pop divas, and bad nu-metal.
