aaron, i am 12 years old, but i want to get out of high school and go to harvard and become a lawyer. could you tell me what kind of 2 lawyers you can be and what their jobs are? thank you very much.

sorry to bother you again i did not know if i gave you my email. well, now you have it

Now, this could be spam. My name is in my school e-mail address, which is undoubtedly available for scraping on some webpage somewhere. However, that doesn't really explain how he knew I was a lawyer. So I wrote him back a very nice reply, and refrained from asking "who the hell are you," because I have no idea. Also, I gave the kid bonus points for the correct spelling of "their."

Also, if anyone could help me answer what the two kinds of lawyers are, I'd appreciate it.

I think Cotton's on the right track. Prosecuting vs. Defense?

The only other thing I can think of is civil vs. ...erm... the other kind. Criminal?

But then there's things like rights lawyers (patents, etc.)...so I don't know about there being just two.

And thus, the bar was lowered a little more.

No pun intended.

while we're on the topic can someone persuade me not to drop out of law school? The ridiculous money at the end of it just isn't enough anymore.

a semester. The degree isn't what's bothering me, and my grades are good enough, i've just come to this stupid realisation that i don't want to practise law in any capacity at all.

I'm pretty fucking sick of Brisbane too, i think it might just be time for a move.

What year are you in now?
