I've got a really good feeling about this upcoming album:

Hits store shelves Oct. 02.

And a bad feeling about this one:

Hits Target shelves Sept. 28.

Tell me how awesome that song clip is.
I hope they can sustain the energy for the whole album.
I'm not too excited about it being on Roadrunner, but at least they should get some label support on this album instead of the way Atlantic handled them on "Beyond Good and Evil". I think that was a really strong disc, but the Aerosmith tour fiasco, and then Atlantic just ignoring them killed everything.

I thought the bad feeling on Collective Soul might be that they'd address &/or show some sympathy for late superfan Cho Seung-Hui.

Too soon?

I had to google that name since I only ever referred to him as "crazy asian shooter-guy". The Collective Soul wikipedia mentions that they did address the situation saying he was a nutball and they can't stop nutballs from listening to good music. (my own paraphrase)

I have to say that I am very pleasantly surprised by the Collective Soul. I'd rate it around the "Dosage" album in terms of quality.

On another note, there is free Cult song available for download here if you register at their site:
http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbe ... emID=79729

I wasn't too impressed by the new Cult song.

In other news, I just found out Kent has a new disc coming out Oct. 15th. w00t.

Shine drove me nuts after hearing it a bazillion times, then I heard a cover band play it live and I felt how much rock was in there. They have a lot of better songs, but none as popular.

The Cult album comes out tomorrow. What's up with the 2 disc bonus edition costing $22 at Circuit City when the regular disc is only $10?
Bastards.

I, catswilleatyou, feel that what makes Collective Soul an amazing musical group is the appropriateness of their name. It's like they took the soul of every genre of music (ever) and harnessed it into their own genre. They took this soul and put it into a jar (of SOUND!!). Like some psychotic collector of motherfucking souls would do. Then, they unleashed the jar (musically)... for all of us to enjoy!!
