90% of the people at work don't know how to not screw up the printer
then the instructions to reset the printer and start over are right on the printer

they'll fuck it all up... and then just switch to a different printer without telling anyone

its great

My fear of elderly drivers continues to grow. Just watched an old lady leaving a McDonalds run over a curb so badly that half her vehicle (oldsmobile, of course) was up off the street at one point. She had 2 tires on the street and 2 on the sidewalk. Wasn't even CLOSE to missing it.

They must be stopped.

until there is hard evidence that elderly drivers pose more of a problem to other motorists than the under-18 drivers (it's close), they will still be allowed to drive. although, there should absolutely be regular driving exams for anyone over, like, 75 or 80.

Speaking of the elderly, they are all that's left visiting Vermont right now since everyone has gone home for school and such.

I don't think I've seen a single person under the age of 65 walk into my store in since Labor Day.

Normally, I have no qualms with these fine, upstanding folks, but I'm beginning to feel like someone took an aging ray to the world. Or that the old folk killed off all the youngins and they're saving me for some sort of sacrifice.

Maybe somebody put up a Morrison's sign outside the bowl store as a joke.

And mandatory testing every 2 or 3 years after 70 would cure a LOT of what I'm seeing. 18 year olds are capable of driving perfectly, they just don't do it. These people are incapable of it, and would not pass a test.

YOU did not see how that frame was bouncing around. *I*, however, did.

And yeah, I'm a stud.

I don't think you're allowed to live in vermont unless you can drive a 2 ton pickup over a vw bug without spilling your coffee.

If it was in enough danger that I actually thought it was going to fall off I would have stopped. It wasn't, but it was bouncing and so I thought it best to be gentle. You should see me drive that bad boy down 91.

edit: and I fixed the quotes - put your glasses on, woman.

Receptionist: "You're really busy lately, huh?"
Me: "Yes."
Receptionist: "Well, baby, I put a little treat on your desk."
Me: "Yeah? Thanks!"

:nono:

"treat" on desk: bag of about 50 mini twix and 30 mini snickers.

I still say people should not be able to begin collecting Social Security until they have relinquished their driver's license.

Think of it as government-sponsored cab fare.

there are now two cats in the house i'm renting and
i'm pretty ambivalent in regards to their presence;
although the cat hair all over my shit is pretty fucking annoying
but what's more is that
my two female roommates talk to the cats non-stop
we don't have much in common so I guess it's better than forced conversation.
that's annoying enough but in addition
one of the roommates is allergic to cats and she doesn't take any medication
so she sneezes and hacks up loogies non-stop.
make it stop make it stop. make it stop.

Option A) Show it to em
Option B) Ask if either of them wants to "Taste your ass"

You can thank me later.

Use the loogie as a lube and put "it" up the cat. That should do it. Poor babies.

Someone just asked "Are you smart enough to know the difference between these woods?"

I'm wondering if I coiffed my hair in the style "dumb" today.

Also, I am extremely bored.

Chicago is a pretty swell place. Really.

Those hot dogs rule. So does the pizza. So does the EL.

Rock over London, Rock on Chicago.
