first single off of Saturdays = Youth, coming out in april. possibly the best thing they've done since Run Into Flowers? this album may have now rocketed up my "most anticipated album of '08"

hear it here.

The write-up on his MySpace of the upcoming album makes it sound fucking great. Yea, this can't leak soon enough! Thanks for the link..

Do I want to see him live? I saw him on his last tour and THINK I had a good time. Guide me, Obner...

Whoa! Midnight are a lot better in a live setting! You should go for both acts, dude!

Ok so i went last friday night.

M83 were kinda bland, and their incompetence as technical musicians really shows (the drummer was awesome though). They were nowhere near loud enough and were completely drowned out by audience chatter at times. I was expecting a wall of grandiose sound, but it was just so tiny.

Juggernaughts were average (definitely not my thing to begin with), and the crowd was the biggest group of funboy fuckheads ever assembled. I ended up punching on with some oversized faggot after he kept touching me, and cut my hand on his glasses. All in all a disappointing night.

i can picture a lot of this new album being used in cheesy hollywood romantic crap films, or car commercials even, but i'm a sucker for some M83.

Graveyard Girl is just glorious. so is We Own The Sky.

Disappointed after the first few listens. Seems well executed enough though, so I'm guessing this is more of a "it's not you, it's me" sorta deal, as I really like most of his other stuff.

I'm planning on seeing them in Omaha on January 18, since I get MLK day off. The show is only $15 and acts like M83 rarely come through the state.
