I'd contribute a song but are there any rules?

Just 2008 or any time we want?
Any specific theme?

I feel like if everyone's just randomly submitting songs from any time and any genre, it'll be a big mess. Well, this one, at least. The other one will be mostly indie rock bands comprised of four young, white, males who play guitar, bass, and drums.

Although I guess we could all submit whatever song we want and DHR could be assigned the task of putting the songs into a listenable order.

I'm fine with that. I'm not sure it needs to be songs from 2008 but i guess making a yearly mix would require that the songs be from that time frame. Who wants to look back fondly of the 2008 mix with all those great songs from 77, 84, 99, 2006 and 2003. The 2009 mix was even better with those gems from 84, 86, 2007, 2009, and 1997...and so on.

Well, if there are rules being defined on the fly about what can and can't go, such as "Must Be A 2008 Song", make it clear now, please. And if the RULES say 2008 releases only, you're going to have to disregard the one I already sent from 1972. Note that the hoy poloy A Team mix doesn't have such restrictions.

I want to break the barrier of mistrust and hostility by contributing to both, if possible.

we don't have to have any rules....i don't really care....i was originally going to chose a song from the 80's so go ahead and send what you like and i'll try to organize it down the road.

A month of silence.

This is why we weren't invited to play with the big boys.
