i was getting excited about Opening Day and decided to check out the schedule on DirecTV. to my surprise i noticed that they, in most situations, have both the visitor's and home team feeds this year. this isn't just a opening day thing either and wonder if they added over the air stations as well? GREATEST THING EVER.

is this a cable thing as well? i'm paying $20 more than one of my friends who gets it from cable. he is only paying $159 this year, same as last year, while my rates raised.

my team is your team and yeah we will probably lose 100 games this year. at least the staring pitching will be fun to watch, just no scoring.

Due to injuries in the Angel's starting rotation, Seattle is now favored by some in the AL West---I'll believe it when I see it.

The addition of Bedard is a good one---I think our starting rotation is pretty strong. The bullpen should be good again despite losing Sherrill. Defensively, we're suspect in L and R field--hopefully Ichiro can cover enough ground from center to make up for that. It will come down to whether they can generate enough runs. Beltre and especially Sexson need to have good years offensively and earn some of their big contracts.

Looking forward to watching it unfold.

I have a TV in my office, so I'll be watching the Tigers squash the royals.

i feel like i should switch teams, as my Giants are going to be horrible for at least two years. so because of my work i have been able to meet quite a few Dodgers, Derek Lowe has been the coolest. there is no way i'm going to abandon my team but i can't hate the Dodgers, so unnatural.

goddamn you. we will have a hard time averagine 3-4 runs. that lineup is just a joke. and although there is some pitching talent, its hard to win with that sort of line up. maybe i should just root for the mariners.

I wait all winter long for this day. It's right up there with Christmas and my birthday as one of my favorite days of the year.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new Nats ballpark tonight. From the bits I've seen on the net it doesn't really look too interesting. Looks kind of like an open pit mine.

I'm pretty sure my team is going to blow this year. But the journey should still be intense.

haha, it's sort of a joke on the "laid back" atmosphere we are supposed to have here.

I'll always have 2005. I really wish the White Sox started to rebuild this year instead of depleting our farm system for an outside chance at finishing third..

Glavine wins the Cy and MVP, and the Braves make one last run -- and lose in the first round of the playoffs.
