was kinda great.

i guess the end battle was a bit of a letdown (seemed a little short) but robert downey jr was excellent and there wasn't anything embarrassing/goofy in the movie.

I may go try to check this out this weekend. Is Tony Stark good and drunk?

well that's a pretty good drunk then, I can see why he needed to build nuclear compensation suit.

i'm not sure if he actually takes a drink but there's at least one scene of him with a drink in hand.

Yeah this was quality. Definitely not a letdown. Suit was badass, and done up really well.

Worth the viewing.

No. Not too much.

Anything CGI is completely unwatchable by me and I managed to sit through this one. Pretty good. Robert Downey Jr played Stark just as Robert Downey Jr, but it was pretty good.

No nu-metal music. In fact the only rock in it was AC/DC and Sabbath from what I remember. The score was more "rock" oriented, but still a score.

This is the guy:

Quote:
Ramin Djawadi (born 1974 in Duisburg, Germany) is an Iranian-German composer of orchestral music for film and television. His father was an immigrant from Iran.

Djawadi has been widely credited as a composer for additional music, orchestrator and as an assistant composer to Hans Zimmer on movies such as Batman Begins and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. His work as a music composer for films include Blade: Trinity (with RZA), Ask the Dust, Open Season, and Mr. Brooks. Along with Paul Westerberg, Djawadi won an award for his contribution to the score of Open Season at the 22nd Annual ASCAP Film and Television Music Awards.[1] Djawadi has also composed theme music and incidental music for television series. These include Threshold, Blade: The Series, and Prison Break for which he received an Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Main Title Theme Music" in 2006. The theme music of Prison Break was remixed by Ferry Corsten and released as "Prison Break Theme (Ferry Corsten's Breakout Mix)". He has also been chosen to do the music for Iron Man, to be released May 2, 2008.

On September 3rd 2007, he released an album containing incidental music from the show Prison Break.

yeah, i liked this. you have to go into a movie like this realizing that it's the first of at least two in this series, so there's going to be a lot of time spent setting up the whole concept. and i actually didn't mind that so much. i was also a bit disappointed with the final battle, but there's enough else in this film for it to be worthwhile.

Jon Favreau directed it and he hates CGI. He did Zathura with old school miniatures.

It was one of those movies where the previews didn't do it justice. It was sold strictly as a kids movie and it really wasn't.

That was brought up apparently. My vote would be for Fin Fang Foom, heh.
