really? you feel spoiled knowing that stark doesn't get drunk and there is a last battle that is short?

He does get drunk. He's drunk half the movie. On the airplane with Terrence Howard they get plastered.

Aren't you talking about a man-in-giant-metal-suit movie? That's pretty goofy in and of itself...

That said, totally looking forward to seeing this.

Iron Man 2 and Thor are set for summer 2010.

Followed by Captain America and The Avengers in summer 2011.

They definitely need the Mandarin for IM2. I assumed he was going to be in this one initially.

They did Man-Thing, didn't they?

Thor's one of their archetypal heroes. He was created during the same period as FF, Daredevil, Spider-Man, etc.

Actually, I'd say he was created several thousand years BCE.

I did. It was actually anti-climactic. Samuel L. playing a role in the second one, obviously. The only thing that made sitting through the credits worth it was hearing all the nerds freak out because of something I apparently don't "get". It was a name, an introduction, and nothing that dramatic.

Movie was good though.

I found a fancam video of it online. It was pretty funny to hear them all yelling "sweet" and "awesome" for some little tease.

Speaking of soundtrack, I noticed, while waiting for the lame extra bit after the credits that Tom Morello was credited with something like "random guitar" under the music category. haha.

dude. This only made like 100 million opening weekend. You're ruining their financial return by watching an illegal copy. Shame shame shame.

I haven't seen this but I read the spoiler for after the credits and apparently it sets up the Avengers film in 2011.

If they can get Robert Downey Jr, Edward Norton, and whoever they wind up getting for Cap and Thor to all sign for the Avengers flick, that would be pretty huge.

Especially since anything I've heard of a Justice League movie would involve entire new casting and no appearance from Routh or Nolan.

I really liked this but the final showdown came off as being kind of "slopped together".

He played one of the random terrorists too when Tony Stark is in the first version of the Iron Man suit. He runs at Iron Man with a machine gun and is punched into a wall, that's about it.

No more than putting your persona in a video game.

I'm actually reading the third Boondocks collection, and there's a great press conference where Aaron McGruder talks about message integrity vs. the reality of getting it heard.

I just find it humorous that the "I'm a Commie" hat wearing former band member of a politically charged rock group was portraying the stereotypical frightened and incompetent "terrorist" in a mainstream big budget film. All in all, it's just sort of ironic and makes me chuckle.

I totally called that it was Tom Morello during the scene and figured there was no way it was actually him. Lo and behold there he was during the credits as Insurgent #5.
