they canceled their show the other night with the mae shi because they were "tired" or something like that.

First of all. May 15, The Death Set were welcomed near the end of the spring road by their Brooklyn family with an afternoon rooftop show for as many kids as could precariously crowd-swim the skies thereon. Ninjasonik, Bikes in the Kitchen, Newmore Switchblades, Rabbitfoot, you already know. Second of all, Pitchfork TV was there to capture it all in multi-angle full-frenzy view, in this part 1 of 2, so you can see it too.

Yes, they generally play live to a backing track of drum machine and synth.

Rad! The more damaged the gear, the better they sound.

i was going to say that i saw them with him twice but that's the other dude that's not in the band anymore. i dunno, he might've been at the sxsw show. i couldn't see the stage.
