Finally saw American Splendor on cable. Enjoyed the unique blend of approaches used. Remember seeing all Pekar's Letterman appearances when they originally aired, and always wondering who the hell he was. Used to think he was just one of Dave's cast of wacky characters. As great as Giamatti was, I think Judah Friedlander was even more amazing as Pekar's tard sidekick. If for no other reason than he did it without a "WORLD CHAMPION NERD" trucker hat.

yeah I loved everything leading up to the end, but they really boxed themselves into a corner with their story and it was the only way to close it out, I guess. the dialog is funny as hell though.

I actually really liked this and I wasn't expecting to. Maybe it has to do with lowered expectations, but I thought it was a great dark comedy.

I was a bit disappointed with Control, although I probably overhyped it.
Billy Jack would have been a hell of a lot better drunk. I wish it would have had more cheesy fight scenes and less after school special plot lines.

I really liked Control but I had zero expectations.
um, I have seen a lot of movies lately. I have "In Bruges" from Netflix now...

Malibu's Most Wanted - Surprisingly funny.

Stop Loss -meh.

Tropic Thunder - Hated It.

Vicki Cristina Barcelona - 2 Snaps up in Z formation.

I really liked this one, dark and funny.

Not a huge David Lynch fan, but this is probably the best of his that I've seen.

Interesting look at the making of Apocalypse Now.

I laughed considerably.

I thought it was really well written and pretty cool how a lot of the seemingly meaningless story points in the 2/3 of the movie foreshadowed the final scenes.

wow this movie was terrible. did you love how they kept explaining to you what was going on, who was talking to who, etc? I found it all really condescending.

If you like any heist, or caper movie, then you'll love this. It's based on real events, which makes it even more awesome. The british actors in it are amazing. Movies don't get better than this for me.

Oh my god, I've seen that, with my dad when I was little. Is that a film an 8 yr old should see? I feel funny all of a sudden.
