It's favorites of all-time.

I like the list, one of the more interesting ones I've seen that resemble my tastes.

Not aimed at you specifically, but I always wonder when a really big / respected album is #1 on someone's list if it's really their favorite or if they feel the need to put it there. I'm not saying it's not your favorite, just something I wonder about.

even though you aren't referring to me... Pet Sounds redefined my listening. I could argue that I like Sunflower more on occassion, but Pet Sounds opened my eyes to Brian Wilson, and the use of the studio as an instrument, the combination of instruments, not for their individual sound, but for their combined sound. It surely is touted as a great album, but to me it is a great album. Though I know what you mean... its just, that album is the start of everything that defines my music tastes, from the poppy electronic stuff, to the psych, none of it in my mind exists like it does without that album...

and opa! not that I need to justify myself, but the bishop allen record was one fo the few of the last year or so that really stuck with me. some great records, but that one just sticks... and I was one of the goofballs who bought all 12 eps... so sue me...

and papas fritas, wont' apologize for that one... probably more sentimental reasons, but its a damn good record....

Good answer.

Though I didn't get it until this year, that Bishop Allen would have been in my top 10 last year if I'd had it sooner.
