Putting on my thrill-hat, you have to remember these shells of teams are now facing an even match-up, or closer to even -- the 'Phins, for instance, have no one near the talent of Randy Moss or (gulp) Mike Vrabel (remember, when the Pats were winning Super Bowls, & he was a winner's Brian Urlacher (with a touch of the Fridge)? I don't either) -- & beating the Cassel-led Patriots is not surprising.

Taking off my thrill-hat, you have to recognize that if the competition, particularly in the division -- cough, Jets, cough -- continued to let the New England side roll, it would be further evidence of the triumph of the system/team over the player. So, the 'Phins have no choice but to pound the Pats. They have to show that the NE 22 are not invincible.

Also, seeing Belichick regress to early 90s Cleveland frustration has to be sweet. Am I right, mugwump & sketch?

what can i say, the fins put a beating on my beloved pats. i'm not ready to concede the afc east or anything. instead i will refer you to the pats previous regular season winning streak that started the game after a 34-0 thrashing by the bills. they won the super bowl that year.

my pats are a team in transition. i defy any nfl team to lose its best player and instantly play at the same level.

i am confident that the patriots are a playoff team, the dolphins are not, and i would guess there is about a 0% chance the pats don't beat the fins in miami.
