Yeah, hoping for a Belcourt (our version of the Alamo) screening.

So after catching a nice buzz I went to see this last night.

It was fun, not as whimsical as most FLips fans would come to expect from them. It definitely embraced b-movie culture, mostly to its advantage.

Some spots moved a bit slow, Steven was obviously smacked up through most of it, and for once Michael Ivins had more lines than Wayne (he doesn't speak at all).

I did enjoy the homespun quality of the whole thing. It had this "hey, lets get our friends and family together and make a movie in our backyard" feel...sometimes the results aren't always great, but always interesting to see.

I did notice they listed "cat powers" in the credits...

Don't Isaac Brock and Elijah Wood and a bunch of others cameo in it?

Saw it on Monday. Um, yeah.

Expectantly bizarre and funny. Who knew female genatalia could be so psychedelic? Influenced by Solaris, for sure.

Will have to watch it again under the influence.
