I saw this band a few years ago, and i thought that the music was really, really heroin slow and depressing but pretty minimalistically cool and in short i liked it. however, it's hard as shit to find anything about the band, although it think that they may have been from minneapolis. anyway, if you're into slowcore and have some time to kill you might want to check it out, or at least i want you to check it out.

Awesome. I remember Mata Hari, but never got a chance to see them live. I learned about these guys from listening to Building Better Bombs back in the mid-90s, but the noise is polar opposite. If these guys are slowcore, then Low is B. Haley & the comets at a sock-hop. From what I've heard, MH is much more similar to Eno in breadth & style than Low. Long, drawn out keys & bass lines over S. Stevens-like whispers into the mic. You've got to be in the right mindframe or you'll get too relaxed and shit your kacks.

Thanks for the link.

i'm reading these articles about the Grokster supreme court case on the 29th and wondering "man, should i have posted this" but the fact that they don't even seem to have a website or any way to find anything about the band makes me think that i'm doing them a favor.
