This is my current list. Please add to it as you see fit and tell me why I should consider including them in my "promo push/brand building" campaign on behalf of this band I'm in.

Also, if you know of any college newspapers/journals, a la the Harvard Crimson, I'd definitely be up for hitting those. Particularly if they're in a day's drive from Boston. Hint, hint.

Also, I am entirely aware of the semi-futility involved in this endeavour, but I won't be discouraged. We have boxes of CDs that are not moving and I would rather 10% end up at least getting reviewed, catalogued somewhere, even played in someone's car stereo gratis, rather than just sitting in our bass player's home office. The other 90% will be a mystery...

DC City Paper? Don't know that.

Yeah, I think Richmond would be the furthest we might drive south for a 1-off show (and that would be stretching it) and Cleveland the furthest west on 90. So anything btwn here and Richmond, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh. Mostly kidding.

Obviously, I don't want anything too comprehensive from y'all, but if you know of, say, the right folks/papers to talk to in that span, then I am all ears. Or eyes even.

Print media counts, too! I don't have any contacts or addresses for Stop Smiling and the like yet, but I'm working on it.

Projects are fun.

Katie, a princess?

Edit: As in, she works (worked?) for Stop Smiling. Could probably help some.

Good ideas gents - keep them coming!

I totally keep forgetting about Drowned in Sound. I thought of that one in the shower this morning and it was gone from my mind as soon as I began shoveling my car out of a snowbank. Using a broom. That sucked.

well, richmond just got our own independent radio station, that might be worth looking into if you came anywhere close: http://wrir.org/

if you ever made it to DC you'd probably have to hit up the City Paper:
