Of Montreal 'Skeletal Lamping'

I've not actually decided if this is brilliant or terrible but in either case I'm glad Kevin Barnes is out there making music that alternates between brilliant and terrible. One of the few genuine freaks out there.

Hold Steady 'Stay Positive'

A frustrating album in some ways. Starts off like a locomotive going over the edge of the Half Dome, is then completely stalled by the cringingly embarrassing 'Lord, I'm Discouraged' and although improves afterwards never fully recovers its initial momentum.

Well now that I've scrolled down to the bottom of this thread, I'm happy to see I'm not the only weirdo with a Christmas NP. I'm not much of a crazy Christmas person... but I realized recently that I didn't own a copy of a certain recording... so I picked up and am now listening to this
