Haven't seen that Any Trouble mentioned in a dogs year. I'll always have a soft spot for anything on Stiff, but my recollection of this album is that it left me flat, not quite pub, not quite ska, not quite a lot of things.

Yeh, that's about right. There's only maybe 3 or 4 excellent songs on it, and the whole thing is shamelessly derivative of early Costello or Joe Jackson - but it lacks the bite of Costello and the arrogance of Jackson. Just a collection of "nice" pop tunes, really. Sometimes that'll do.
