its really meticulous and arresting... for a while. i feel like it drags on toward the end and its really turning me off.

it could be my lack of understanding the complexity of his technique and craftsmanship, but honestly, i don't know what he's doing here - other than involving other artists - that betters, streamlines, or improves (or particularly changes) what he did on OWE and Uprock. as such, it really does very little for me, other than act as...another prefuse record, but nothing terribly exciting.

I bought One Word Extinguisher to see what all the raves were about and I listened to a ton of times to try and decihpher it. I just couldn't get into it and I have not been compelled to pull it back out. It had a couple of decent grooves but it's just not my bag. I guess the guys talented but I'm not sure what he talented at exactly.

I won't be picking up the new one.

I was really excited upon first listen, but then it kind of wore off. I'll have to give it some more time before making any further judgment.

i haven't listened to the new one much other than the tracks with ghostface/el-p, aesop rock & gza/masta killa which i think are pretty hott. i'd like to hear him do production on a hip hop album for like immortal technique someone else who could benefit from something different than the same old beats.

i liked extinguished outtakes better than one word extinguisher, but i'm really not that big a fan of his stuff.
