off the top of my head, as i haven't thought about this yet:

- take care of my professional shit
- be less of a pothead
- without necessarily smoking less
- like people more and be involved
- learn much more french
- start competing in tennis
- build a fixed gear bicycle
- start making music again and writing a lot
- grow up

Be a better father.

Take my HS baseball team back to the playoffs.

Cut down on my cynicism.

Grow up? Never.

Good Luck on the baseball thing. Being a Dad w/2 playing HS Ball now I know how sweet that would be.

That's a resolution we can all get behind!

I really don't have any big resolutions this year, other than maybe to stop biting my nails.

1. get down to 170 lbs.or so...Been hovering around 190 all of 2008.
2. Weight loss will hopefully lead to me eventually weeding off all these diabetes meds I'm on.
3. Join a basketball league at the YMCA.
4. Figure out what I want to do when my current career draws to a close.
5. release 3 pieces of vinyl on the label..

I really don't have much of a wishlist. I feel like having gotten a good job and getting my wife/dogs back is pretty much all I wanted. Possibilites:

1. Baby. Hard to know how hard to hope for that one, given the wife's on/off support for it. What happens happens I guess.
2. Ride bicycle all the way to work and back once (27 miles each way, pretty dense traffic, route plan would be the hardest part)
3. Find a structured way to play music. Local bar within walking distance? Local bar near a T stop? I could rig up a hand truck or rolling luggage arrangement with a small amp, I suppose. Either way I'm jonesing pretty hard.

...and I would've put "motorcycle with sidecar" but I have no effing parking space, and screw parking a cherry rig like that on the streets in southie. It'd have a passed-out douchebag in it every morning, or someone's puke.

Every year I promise not to be an asshole. Usually lasts a couple weeks. We'll see.

now that I'm a boring teetotaler, I don't have anything left to give up for new year's, but I resolved to waste less food.

the usual boring music goals: record the new songs, release an album, etc.

same goal every year, push the ratio of income from graphic design to the arts

right now it's about 85% graphic design, 14% art and 1% music
