Worst thing about that watermelon postcard was how that mayor tried to say he had no idea people associated watermelons with negro jokes. SO...if watermelons are not associated with black folks...could you explain the joke?

I'm not positive, but I think somone may have sent this to him and he thought it was pretty and wanted to share it.

The joke was on him, and he caught it too late.

Seeing the cast party that they had for the kids this weekend and watching Cary (and Ethan) dance their asses off only confirms that I should have been a theater geek in high school.
Great kids and a lot of fun.

Todd that is super awesome!! That's great for Cary! I bet the show was so much fun. I loved the Western Springs theater as a kid, that place had the coolest shows there. Going there for field trips was always a treat.

I had NO idea Cary was in fourth grade. Really? Holy crap, I didn't know he was only a year or so younger then Charlie.

I just the best Job interview today at my old high school, LT in Western Springs. Hoping things went well enough to land it.

I should know within the week.

There's a lot of good stuff in there - no need for completist-ism, but he probably has 3-4 amazing albums of material, and quite a few scattered hits lying about.

My chihuahua ate two cloves of roasted garlic this weekend. The smell emitting from her every pore was awful.

How did she eat whole garlic? I'm not even sure my dogs would try to eat it.

I just put my plate down after dinner not even thinking that a) she'd eat them or b) they'd have such an effect on her tiny little body. As it was, it didn't even click until the day after why she smelled so bad.

The dog eats anything, though. Lettuce, pickles, garlic, apparently...

I never owned a dog that would eat carrots (much to my chagrin during family dinners as a kid), but last night I waztched one eat 4 whole carrots in a row. Weird.
