POPE Benedict last night claimed that placing a bible over an erect penis before intercourse is the only guaranteed way to prevent the spread of AIDS.

possibly not a reliable news source ----->http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/health/put-a-bible-over-your-penis,-says-pope-200903181648/

this is actually pretty common in india and nepal. swastikas were never really phased out as a symbol of good fortune.

I thought the German hackenkreutz was a 'broken swastika', i.e, the other way around because it was supposed to represent terror rather than good fortune but I might be wrong about that.

When I worked at the bank, an old lady sent in an ancient bank book she'd had since she was a child to have the interest calculated and the account book had green swastikas all over it. Of course I went around the office showing everyone it and making jokes about it being an appropriate design since the bank owners, Siemens, had used concentration camp labour during WWII.

Of course, when my German boss (none other than a certain Wolfgang!), found out he freaked the fuck out. The old lady got sent out a new non swastika account book and I went on the extermination list. Must have touched a nerve!

Anyone been to Munich or surrounding areas? Besides the normal touristy things -- Dachau, Nuremburg, Salzburg sightseeing stuff and the assload of museums in Munich -- anyone have any interesting recommendations/experiences?

:!: There's a separate thread now...

A report that I worked on for over 5 hours last night has somehow disappeared from my laptop. This is after repeatedly saving every 15 minutes just to make sure I wouldn't lose my data!! I have a feeling it went into a temp folder for which IT has decided that I can't have access to...bastards better find my file!

Why is N next to B on the keyboard? I almost just made a horrible typo in a business email on the word "bigger."

Do a search for it based on the type of file. If it is a Word document, enter *.doc as your search term. If it is an Excel spreadsheet, enter *.xls as your search term.

Make sure to check "search hidden folders and subfolders."
