The New Orleans legends keep dying off. There's not many bigger than Eddie. This is a huge loss. I hope that a few are still around come jazzfest.

Funky 16 Corners has put up a mix of his work as a composer and producer here. Enjoy.

Jesus. They're dropping like flies. Well, it should be interesting to see what Jazzfest comes up with as a tribute. Total monster.

My dad and I worked with him on the docks at McCormick Place. (My dad still does.) But he does the occasional acting gig -- usually as the badass strongman, of course.

So, that news would have upset me more. (And baffled me as to how the hell any of you on here even knew who he was, let alone why the hell any of you on here would have cared.)

Good guy.
And yeah, he's huge.
