I've heard some detractors because of the whole "crybaby" aspect, but personally I can't remember the last time I've been this excited.

Did you stop for a second to think about the crap we've had to put up with for the past 20...no 50+ years at QB?

Not that Cutler is the end-all be-all, but he's the best thing we've had behind center that I've been alive to see.

The thing that is most surprising to me is that I'd never in a million years think that the Bears would actually have the balls to pull something like this off.

Does this ring a bell? Same profile to me. And when I did the google image search, there were pics of him in at least six different unis.

I think its a good pick up for the Bears. The Broncos seriously shit the bed on this one.

i'm not really sure how you could honestly think that its the same person unless you didnt look at their stats.

mirer - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Mirer
cutler - http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/s ... yerId=9597

through the first three seasons, cutler averages 15 points better rating than mirer.

i don't really see how anyone could say that cutler isn't an enormous improvement for the bears at qb. that being said, they did give up a lo for him but still he's a pretty good player.

I think it's an upgrade for the Bears but i'm glad they gave up three valuable picks for him.

I think his stats were inflated in Denver due to RB issues last year.
Makes bad decisions a bit too much for my taste (which is great being a GB fan)
Career losing record, etc.
Will his diabetes be an issue?

An obvious upgrade but i don't think he's quite as great as everyone seems to think

you cant really hold the record against him when it was the team that lost those games, and that team had a shitty defense.

I don't know, dude is getting old though...only if the terms are good, say for a year or two. I heard that he had a pretty good year in 2008 when the Rams were "trying to phase him out" of their offense.

A good thing about this Cutler signing is the awareness among players around the league that Chicago is no longer a place where receivers go to die.

Can Marinelli help turn around this Bear defense though? That's a bigger concern/priority.
