1 2 3 4 Punk & New Wave 1976-1979

100 outstanding cuts from 1976-1979 by top punk & new wave bands, including the Dead Kennedys, theClash, the Dickies, Sex Pistols, Siouxsie & The Banshees,the Damned, the Ramones, the Saints, Buzzcocks, Stiff LittleFingers, the Undertones, P.I.L. and a lot more. 5 CDs and probably the best punk compilation set I've run across. It mixes big hits with more obscure but still great stuff such as Fuck Off by The Electric Chairs and Sick of You by the Users. If you like music of this style and era, absolutely worth a listen.

his new album.

just finally getting around to throwing it on now. 4 songs in and it sounds promising. his vocals are strong as ever. the musical backing is provided by massive attack, so i'm not sure it that's a deal breaker for you or not. it is working for me so far....

Came across this on da blogz. Late 90s band doing 70s glammed up rock (T.Rex, Dolls, Cheap Trick). I think you'd like it a lot.
