This weather is a poor-ass excuse not to go to work. We've got like 6 inches of snow...it takes like 2 seconds to go knock it off the car. My Honda Accord made it in the 2-3 feet of snow in Quebec and I don't have winter tires or anything. I have to do delivery today and I highly doubt it's going to be a problem.

The store on Northside has Creme Brulee I believe. I haven't been yet...I'm going tomorrow...but it's on the list of beers they stock.

You should download the ratebeer app...the people who write reviews are nerdy as shit ("I taste notes of caramel, honey, cereal, coffee, raisins, dark fruit" etc. etc.) but it's a good way to recommend people shit and keep track of what you've had.

Got these at the brewery a few weeks back when I went on the tour:

A little chocolatey for being a hazelnut stout, I think. Not bad, and 8.5% ABV to boot.

I've been drinking far too much lately. This is the best of what I've had:

Anybody else ever had this?

I found it at the grocery store across the lot, and the incredibly nerdy label sucked me in. Also, it was one of the cheapest belgians at about $8, down around the price of the excellent but not-strickly-authentic canadian belgian stuff. So I went for it, and it was really, really fucking good.

It was more floral, more rounded than normal stock belgians, but it was still solidly rooted in Belgian territ'ry yeast-wise, for sure. And man, you gotta respect that label art. A fucking snail with a candle. Anywho I sucked it down, and would buy it again in a second.

I had these last night:

[img][143:500]http://www.ratebeer.com/beerimages/full_size/17557.jpg[/img][img][142:500]http://www.ratebeer.com/beerimages/full_size/13815.jpg[/img][img][211:500]http://www.ratebeer.com/beerimages/full_size/90232.jpg[/img][img][375:500]http://www.corebrewing.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/stone-sublimey-self-righteous.jpg[/img]

I'm up at 6 AM and my head is splitting as a result of the combination. The Self-Righteous is top 3 beers I've ever had. The Olde School is easily top ten.

Seriously, next time y'all come down, smuggle me a case! This is better than Billy Beer.

I will do that. It actually tastes really damn good, too.

Now on tap, the other one of those belgians from nextdoor with artwork that looks like something from Zep IV:
