ok, the single is great, love Red Tide and This Tornado Loves You...some of the lyrics on this album are really bad...but I still love her, she's forgiven.

what lyrics do you have beef with? i think they are pretty solid throughout.

I picked this up and pretty much listened to it all weekend. I think it's great. I see zero drop off from the previous two albums.

Nashville, TN

Put in my advance order and got 2 tix: Sec.3; Row C.

If this concert is 3/4 as good as the one I saw last month in Birmingham, I'll be a happy man. I can't think of a better venue to see her.

It'll be her 3rd performance at the Ryman in 3 years, but only her 1st headline appearance in Nashville, period, since playing the tiny Slow Bar (R.I.P.) in 2003. She played within Marty Stuart's Late Night Jam in '06 and opened for Rufus Wainwright in '07, but I didn't make it to either considering I didn't want to pay $40+ for a shortened Neko set.

i'm seeing her this friday night at this tiny place in boulder...10th row, center. i'm not even a huge neko fan, but i've always wanted to see a show here, plus joey and john from calexico are opening. pretty stoked. i wonder if i can bring my good camera in....

J, this is going to be great, and she may just convert you to an obsessive. She should be carrying her full stage set which is a large screen with projections that accompany all of her songs with a large owl overhanging the screen.

Eric Bachman opened for her in Birmingham. I'm not really a fan of his, and he may have sat in for one song, but considering Joey and John have had much influence on her sound, I'd think this show will be something special.

a guy i used to work with has known joey (or was it john...i'm always getting it confused) since grade school back in california, so he got these great seats. he's actually going to DIA to pick them up, so i may get a chance to meet them too.

I'm seeing her with the Calexico boys this Sunday at Red Butte Gardens--a gorgeous outdoor venue---looking forward to it.

Although the forecast calls for thunderstorms. Could be interesting.
