Well, 2/4 in that block. Lost a final four team. I had Minnesota losing to UNC second round anyway. Hmph :(

15/16 for 3/17

3/4 for 3/18 (so far)

Correctly picked:

Oklahoma State (who now must lose to St. Mary's (#10 in the Sweet Sixteen? Crazy!)
Florida (Donovan finally comes thru for ol' Monty)
Iowa State (Monson really wishes he wouldn't have left Gonzaga for UM-Twin Cities...)

Incorrectly picked:

UNC-Charlotte (but I had them losing to Connecticut, anyway)

too bad for LSU. I can always count on them letting me down in basketball.

You went to Hammond? I didn't know that. I did my time in Ruston.

I've only lost 2 games so far, and only one of the Sweet Sixxxteen.

That means I should get tonight and tomorrow miserably wrong.

Aye. Besides the NCAA's in baseball in the late '80's with Kirk Bullinger hurling, this is all that I have to hang my hat on. You've got the Mailman, Bradshaw, and a great women's hoops program. I can remember going to hoops games at SLU in the late '80's and you could actually hold a conversation with someone across the arena from you. I've seen more people at high school games many times. Hopefully the showing against OSU today will turn things around a bit.

And Bert Jones! And Matt Stover! I went to a men's game once, Tech vs. Tex. Pan-American. It was 39-39 at the end of regulation. I think there were 200 people there, and the godawful display of basketball lasted three overtimes. I went to a high school with a good program, so this was a major disappointment.

Seeing the Lady Techsters leading the U.S. Women's Olympic Basketball team late in the second half was pretty badass though. I think they lost by 8 or 10, which was impressive, since on the exhibition tour Lisa Leslie and the gang was bombing teams by 30+.

I third this.

At least I didn't have New Mexico on a Gonzaga circa '99 tear, all the way to the elite eight.

Now, assuming North Carolina still can get past the sixteen and into the final four, I'll be good.

I'm getting crushed in these first round games... although, only lost one sweet 16 team.

Ohio made up 20 points in 7:30 minutes... ever though they held on, Florida blows all sorts of ass.

4 teams let me down so far (Alabama, LSU, St Mary's, Minnesota). I still have my sweet 16 intact though.

The elite 8 is going to be: Illinois, Arizona, Washington, Wake, North Carolina, Kansas, Duke, Cincinnati.

NC State looked good, I wish I could switch my vote and have them beating Connecticut.

And I also wish I could put Villanova over Florida. They're going to destroy them, based on their first games.
