By October I will have forgotten about Spring Break Shark Attack, whereas the longevity of David Spade's inane schtick will cause me irritation well into my return to diapers, assuming I get to live that long.

The problem with Spade doing unhelpful telephone operators/receptionists, etc. now that he's over 40 is that we all KNOW people who have these occupations and behave like that. And we want to kill those people.

Spade's standup special on HBO a few years back is pretty good.

Spade, Martin Short and Kevin McDonald all flounder outside of their respective comedy partnerships. That happens with a lot of geek-hip comedians. Short was classic on SCTV. Spade could play off people like Farley and Hartman. And McDonald was the shrill, outraged twerp of Kids In The Hall. But on their own they don't work so well.

Tough call. I'll go with Spudley, though. Spring Break Shark Attack may have some eye candy and the distinct possibility of said eye candy getting mauled. Spudley makes me want to get the Estwing out of my truck and either hunt him down or bludgeon myself.

I'd pay to NOT have to ever see either though.

David Spade was cast perfectly as Dennis Finch in Just Shoot Me. I cried for a week when they canceled that show.

Following Yail's offer to pay to avoid either, I'll go further.

I'd pay good money to see David Spade and Andy Dick rigged into some sort of contraption that would smash them together repeatedly until their bodies resembled hamburger.

A whole week?

But I don't remember them ever in the nearly 150 episodes playing up the fact that Laura San Giacomo has huge ta-tas. What kinda teevee is that?

They did, at least once, but only briefly. Finch said something about "what are those, D Cups?" That was it. They missed some good opportunities there. Great big opportunities.

I learned such insider knowledge from her crazy, possessed-by-The Walking-Dude character in The Stand. Corin Nemec got lucky there.

normally i dislike staring a chest and ignoring the face, it's a line of disrespect that i feel weird and wrong crossing, but in the case of this picture i'll make an exception. a very scary screen cap that is.

As well, being that she is Italian, I have to assume them real.

Italians, Greeks, Spaniards -- they are known for their titties. Even Antonio Banderas has man-breasts.

I'm proud to have diverted the focus of this thread away from sharks and toward juvenile ogling. Sharks don't look good in tight shirts.

David Cross as "donny" is one of the finer moments in TV history.

If all seven seasons had been as good as those three episodes, JSM would have been one of the better sitcoms ever. I liked it most times I watched it, but the Cross episodes were on par with the Newsradio one where Jimmy James stages a fake around-the-globe balloon trip.
