No ulterior motives. The only time in seeding I consciously avoided a pairing was with a third seed facing a fourteenth from the same city, then possibly facing another from the same city. Otherwise, the confluence of a Kyle-Kyle match, Robotboy & Paladisiac facing off in the ORD (had no idea Pala was a Chicagoan), & the unfortunate Cats-over-OPA! result were dumb luck.
