i think these bracket-style poll battles are fun, it's just that they overwhelm everything else with the sheer volume of topics. . . would it be possible to add a dedicated forum?

yeah that's a great idea because we have polls dominate the front page all the time.

Yeah, cuz most of the time when polls aren't around, the board is filled with sooooo many great threads.

I don't really see the difference between a regular thread and a poll. They're not really pushing "normal" threads down and there is valid (or at least Obner valid) discussion in them just as any thread might have.
