The Resistance is the upcoming fifth studio album by rock band Muse, it is set to be released on September 14, 2009 (UK date). The album will be produced by the band and mixed by Mark Stent.

The guitar and vocal stylings couldn't be more Queen. Made me want to pull out Day at the Races or Night at the Opera.

They are opening for U2 on this current tour. Never been a big fan. I remember not being terribly blown away at the Cure-ioso tour a bunch of years back.

I used to like them but somehow they lost me after absolution. strange because I was at the shows for each of their first three albums and that was pretty fantastic.

this is the first i've ever heard muse. i think this album's decent. it's not vaulting to my #1 of the year, but it has some redeeming qualities.

if i want to check them out further, what should i hear?
