Anyone have this by chance? I considered ordering today as I really liked some of what I heard at No Fun, but have read some reviews that didn't speak too highly of it. Mind you with him I should probably take reviews with a grain of salt, but still don't want to spend money on something that will ultimately be disappointing. So, yeah, thoughts on this if anyone has it would be very appreciated. Thanks.

No, but oddly enough, I tried dling his "Lisbon" album from emusic last night. Its one track, but they wanted 6 credits. Another sign that this whole Sony deal with emusic has screwed all of us that are into different music.

Was able to sit down and listen to this with proper headphones last night and it is absolutely killer. On a sheer technical level, there isn't anyone close to him these days I don't think.

With that, I can understand how a lot of people are starting to say he is sounding mechanical. I think he has found a nice line between being very planned and cerebral and still exhibiting that passion and heart for what he does, which is bottom line these days, find new ways to experiment with tones and frequencies, to continue to show that he does really exist in a limitless genre.

Just my opinion though.

So what's the deal with this record?

I thought it was multiple tapes meant to be played at the same time or something?

Did someone just record all of them together?

Regardless, can a brother get a PM on dis shee?

It is the four cs each different length, so there is constant variation. I plugged in two discmans, a stereo CD player, and my computer, set everything to repeat, plugged into one mixer and plugged in headphones, it's the best I can do with it, even if it's not ideal.

Will get this uploaded for you and sent your way tonight or tomorrow though.

I'd like a link to it, too, if you don't mind.

PM'd to all of you. Sorry for the delay. Tried to layer it in Mixmeister and loop for a few hours, record that as a track and MP3 that for you, but in all honesty I got lazy. Also, just found out if you go to his website and email him he will send you an MP3 mix of about three hours of this looping for free.

Those of you that got this, any thoughts? I finally broke down and ordered the real set of four CS. Even after getting all the loop points and everything right in Mixmeister, I still don't think it's right for some reason, like listening to the combined version of Zaireeka that's out there, it's just not as fun in some way. Plus the packaging looks great, so figured why not.

4 different players you need just to listen to this thing? Sorry, but that's just fucked.

Maybe I just need to start doing more drugs again.
