I don't know if I wanna see them live, but I sure do like what I've been hearing from them.

I could do without Oberst, but I'm guessing that they will each play some solo stuff like they have done at past tours together. I really want to see Jim James perform some of those Harrison covers.

I don't think I will be attending this at this point in time. Tickets are $47 for the show in Omaha, which is pretty ridiculous in this economy, especially since Oberst is on a slump and the last time they played here tickets were like $18.

I am by no means an Oberst fan, but I heard a review(maybe soundopinion?) where he apparently is singing less breathy more rough hewn than usual. Still, 47$ plus the altering substances makes it pricey for folk fare imo.

I dunno if Oberst is in a slump. I dig the past 2 records much more than anything he ever did as Bright Eyes. Not to mention his opening for Wilco--pretty great opening slots at the 2 shows I saw.

So, is this album "out there" yet?

I haven't seen it yet.
I check indie passion every day for this sort of shit and either somebody here or locally will stumble upon it if I haven't found the goods.

wow, I don't like this at all. It sounds like those CSN albums from the 80s.

These dudes + Will Johnson (Centro-Matic, South San Gabriel) are on Conan tonight.

It's a good album, not great. I think the first two songs where Conor Oberst is the focal point are pretty bad, but I generally like all the Jim James and M Ward tunes.

Will Johnson is the touring drummer officially.

"Say Please" on Conan

pretty unimpressed after one listen. and also a little upset that i jumped the gun and pre-ordered this. perfect example of an album that might be good enough to keep the mp3's but not good enough to buy.

That song on Conan was so boring about halfway in I started wishing for the ghost of John Philips to appear on stage and start raping all of them except Will Johnson.
