Kinda surprised the ATL people aren't all over this guy. This would be a good place to start.

I always thought he was OK on other folks' tracks but was pure gangster parody on his own.

Strawfoot: Chasing Locusts

Saw these guys last night, opening for Scott H. Biram, a fine scuzzy blues fella in his own right. But I really liked Strawfoot; they have a creepy folk music vibe. They are a local band I've heard called Gothic Americana, Death Country and all sorts of other variations. You get the point. Whatever you wanna call it, they do it well. Might go see 'em play in the park this afternoon while I eat some bar-b-q.

Also checked out GEN-XX later in the night, perfect if you like retro 80s style industrial merged with an S&M/bondage show performed by the band members.

Yeah, late night...I'm gonna need a nap.

I think he's a great combo "storyteller" type of rapper ("dueces wild", a "dope story")...and a straight up hardcore rapper, ("that's life", "get em shorty", "akshon")

never thought of him as a parody.

B Fleischmann: The Humbucking Coil

Warm, melodic record with a nice mellow vibe that mixes acoustic and electronic instruments throughout. A couple vocal tracks tossed in, but mostly instrumentals. Came out a few years back on Morr Music. Perfect from coming home from Saturday night on Sunday afternoon.

Confirm that. I can't take the killer Mike's of the world very seriously.
