They have done too well... But if you question their presumptions, & happen to be even a little fat yourself, you were get from them what you & they get from slender "fat haters".

I think, then, the emphasis in the phrase is not so much on FAT, as POWER. It's all about having control of yours -- & others's (especially others's) -- resources.
