Yea, I just scrolled down to see these are only 2 of the 4 in it.
So much for editing my post.

Gimme Fiction, I though 5 Ga was pretty spotty.

Hmmmm... I like these equally, but I'm going with Gimme Fiction. I spent a lot more time with it than with Ga x 5

I have tried repeatedly with Spoon and I just don't get it. I think this will be the first one in this tournament that I abstain from.

I guess I don't get what's not to get about Spoon.

Pretty straightforward indie rock/pop. If you had only listened to the last two records, I guess I could see how you could easily shrug them off.

Actually, I could see how you could shrug them off after listening to any of their records. I started with A Series of Sneaks - which is now probably my 2nd favorite Spoon - and I really didn't think much of it for quite a while. They're just a tasteful rock band who know their way around some solid hooks and have a lot of nice little nuances to their sound. It's a rare thing, really, especially when you consider how consistent they've been. Maybe not the sort of thing you immediately appreciate when you're looking for music that expresses bolder ideas or takes greater risks.

I don't know what it is either actually, I just find them kind of bland, I guess is the word. There's nothing about them to me that seperates them from anyone else, nothing so beyond extraordinary that they stand out. To me they just kind of blend in with every other band.
