I'm going Funeral. I'm more apt to listen to tracks from it than I am It Still Moves. I really like MMJ better as a band, although both bands seem to be on a downward trajectory.

AF. I like It Still Moves a lot but Funeral is better start to finish.

Seriously: It Still Moves is not a very good album.

If their next album isn't any better than Neon Bible... sure.

But Funeral is pretty good. Most of the songs have held up, I think. At least the ones I've heard out of context have still sounded good. I haven't actually listened to the whole album in a couple of years.

I challenge everyone who hasn't voted to listen It Still Moves again. To me, it channels everything they were influenced by and what they were when they released "At Dawn", improves upon it, and releases something all their own.

The length is perfect. It's sprawling and all over the place with short acoustic songs to long epics with multiple movements. It has fantastic moments throughout the whole thing. It never lets up. I just listened to it again and forgot how much BRASS shows up throughout the whole thing.

Finally, Jim James. Possibly the most amazing and unique voice to come out of the 00's.

Moments I love:

The breakdown towards the end of Mahgeeta, when the horns come in on Dancefloors, the soaring wordless singing of James during the final 2-3 minutes of I Will Sing You Songs, the horn breakdown at the end of Easy Morning Rebel, when the techno section drops out and the lead guitar comes back in on Run Thru, Rollin Back.......Fleet Foxes WISHES they were this good, TAKE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR DRUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGSSSS........

I appreciate Arcade Fire but nothing has consistently been as rewarding as It Still Moves for me. It's a career album and manages to encapsulate everything I love about rock music on one disc. Nothing I heard was as engaging, fiery, passionate, and downright beautiful this decade.

Gotta go MMJ on this one, but it's a tough choice for multiple reasons.
